  1. Hi Kyan!

My name is Ellee, I am another part of the Summer Learning Journey Crew that is commenting on your blogs this summer.
Looks like you have been super busy completing your activities this summer, awesome work!

Sounds like you have a pretty traditional Birthday?
I like that sometimes you make the cakes...do you have a favourite flavour or design that you do?
It would be awesome to see a picture on your blog post...maybe you have one of your favourite Birthday cake?

When I was little I didn't really like having Birthday parties but my Mum did let me pick what we would have for dinner that night and I loooooved that! Do you do the same?
I would also pick to have my Mum's caramel cake instead of a traditional cake because it was so delicious, my sister liked pavlova and my brother would pick an ice-cream cake!
I don't have a picture of the caramel cake but this is kind of what it looked like (ugly but delicious!) : https://www.odt.co.nz/lifestyle/food-wine/roost-cafes-caramel-oat-delight

Hopefully you have had a lovely time over the school holidays Kyan, keep up the awesome work!

    Ellee :)

  2. Kia ora Kyan,
I think is cool that your favourite celebration is birthdays because this is a very personal celebration, is all about you!
I love birthday cakes! My favourite is a chocolate stout cake with baileys cream cheese ice cream, I have been making this recipe for years now and I quite like to do it for my friend's birthday instead of buying them a present. For my daughter's birthday I tend to do a rainbow cake, each layer has a different colour which is really cool and fun. What about you? What is your favour cake?
Also, it would be very cool if you add a picture of you and your family celebrating a birthday as this would make your post eye-catching and authentic.

In order for you to gain full points for this activity I will need you to elaborate a bit more in your post. Try to answer my questions above about your favourite cake or perhaps a memorable present, could you do that an let me know?

    Dig in and keep blogging!
    Kia Kaha,
    Patricia
